Bulls Beat Nuggets 94-92

The score is too close for the way each team played. I thought the Bulls played very good and are now showing tht they are growing out of the "baby bulls" nickname. But seriously...who needs Melo? Obviously not the Bulls. Bogans had a season high 10 points, Taj poured in 16 and Rose only went 7-21 shooting en route to win.

Bulls Lose @ Celtics in OT 110-105

Not only did Thibodeau work the Celtics' bench during the epic 2008 playoff series with the Bulls that featured countless overtimes. But he also took 22 years toiling as an assistant to land the Bulls' job. All that extra effort still added up to a 110-105 Bulls loss, sealed when Glen Davis sank two free throws with 13.4 seconds left after Joakim Noah lost the ball while dribbling upcourt instead of finding a guard in a one-possession game. The Celtics scored 31 points off 20 Bulls turnovers. In overtime, the Bulls had edged ahead 101-100 when Kyle Korver sank a 3-pointer with 3 minutes, 11 seconds left. But Ray Allen, who led Boston with 25 points, answered 15 seconds later with a 3. Derrick Rose tied it at 103-103 with 2:07 left, but Paul Pierce shook free for a layup. After Rose turned it over trying to pass back to Taj Gibson, Rajon Rondo fed Davis, who was fouled and sank one free throw. Rose then committed an offensive foul and Allen dunked along the baseline for a 108-103 lead. The game appeared to turn with just less than four minutes left in regulation when, coming out of a timeout, the Bulls committed yet another turnover as Luol Deng threw an inbounds pass that Korver couldn't corral. But the Bulls wouldn't go away. Deng, 5-for-14 to that point, sandwiched two 3-pointers around a Noah jumper to tie it at 96-96 with 1:18 left. Noah was huge with his fifth straight double-double and a career-high 26 points and 12 rebounds. After the teams traded misses, Rondo's pass to Allen was deflected and Keith Bogans outraced Allen in the backcourt to snare it and call a sliding timeout with 23.3 seconds left. The play might have been a backcourt violation anyway. But the Bulls didn't even attempt a shot when Rose lost control of his dribble near the regulation buzzer while working for the last shot. The second quarter proved disastrous for the Bulls. First, the Bulls went over the foul limit in the first 2:50. Then, they missed their first seven shots and committed three turnovers while failing to score for the first 5:56. The Celtics' 14-0 run extended to 22-3 eventually and as bad as the offense was, the defense might have been worse: Boston shot 10 free throws and had five layups or dunks in this stretch. No wonder a disgusted Noah's frustration boiled over and he picked up a technical foul as the teams walked off the floor at halftime. The Bulls' bench play continues to be an issue, though there was a Ronnie Brewer sighting with seven points and active defense.

Bulls Fall to Knicks 120-112

The Knicks rarely missed from three-point range last night, shooting 16 of 24 from the arc as they built a 21-point lead at the half. Danilo Gallinari hit all four of his treys and finished with 24 points for the Knicks. Raymond Felton added 20 points and 10 assists. Derrick Rose scored 24 points and dished out a career-high 14 assists for the Bulls, but sat out the last 9:31 with the rest of the starters. Joakim Noah scored 10 and grabbed 13 rebounds. Taj Gibson also had a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards and Luol Deng added 17 in the loss.

Bulls Top Trailblazers at Home 110-98

Deng scored a career-high 40 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 110-98 victory over Portland on Monday night. Deng's previous career best of 38 points, on March 26, 2007, also came against the Trail Blazers."During the first two games, (Deng) didn't shoot the ball well, but I thought he played well," said Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau. "He's moving without the ball, he's cutting hard, he's making the extra pass and he's playing really good defense. Tonight, he was terrific offensively. His body was in (constant) motion and he got out and ran the floor well." Derrick Rose, who entered the game as the NBA's leading scorer, added 16 points and 13 assists for Chicago (2-1). The assist total matched his previous career high set against Utah last March. "My whole goal was to see how I could control the game," Rose said. "They were keeping two people on me, so I had to pass the ball. Tonight, we were knocking in shots." The Trail Blazers entered the game 3-0, with all three of their victories coming as a result of fourth quarter comebacks. Portland outscored opponents 85-49 in the final quarters of its first three games, but were unable to mount a sustained rally against the Bulls.

Bulls Win Home Opener VS Pistons

The Bulls trailed by as many as 21 points and were down by 13 at 86-73 with only 8:27 to go in their home opener on Saturday night. But Derrick Rose's career-high-tying 39 points helped the Bulls to an amazing comeback win, as they outscored the Pistons 34-9 in the fourth quarter on their way to a 101-91 win in front of 21,038 at the United Center. The Bulls also got 15 points and 17 rebounds from Joakim Noah, who is averaging 18 rebounds in the two games played so far. Taj Glbson had 11 points and Luol Deng added nine. Former Bull Ben Gordon led the Pistons with 21 points.

Bulls Drop Home Opener @ OKC Thunder

Durant scored 30 points, Russell Westbrook added 28 points and 10 rebounds and Oklahoma City beat the new-look Chicago Bulls 106-95 on Wednesday night in the season opener for both teams. Rose scored 28 points to lead the Bulls in Tom Thibodeau’s debut as head coach. He had only four points in the final 21 minutes, his hot start cooled off by foul trouble. The Bulls missed three shots on the same possession including Sefolosha’s block of a fast-break layup by Rose and then got a third offensive rebound before calling timeout with 11 seconds left on the shot clock. They couldn’t get a potential tying shot off before the buzzer. “You can’t have blown sets in the fourth quarter,” Thibodeau said. “I think that’s where you have to be at your best. You have to be able to execute under pressure, and we’ll do better. We have to do better." Joakim Noah had 19 points and 18 rebounds, Taj Gibson added 16 points and 11 rebounds and Deng scored 13 for Chicago en route to the first lose of the season.

2010-11 New and Improved Chicago Bulls

The new and improved Chicago Bulls' season is now underway. Making some extreme changes to the roster in dropping and trading away 7 players, they aquire: Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, Omer Asik, and Kurt Thomas. With the neucleus of two budding stars in Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose (a breakout season from Deng) and the low post scoring of Carlos Boozer, accompanied with the 3 point shooting of Kyle Korver the Bulls have a ligit chance at beating
ANY team in the NBA. With a possible 50 wins during the season the Bulls could aquire the 4th or 5th seed in the East. And the ultimate goal in the future, an NBA title, could happen in 3 or 4 years. Let's Go Bulls!!
